Mutton with Bamboo Shoot

A unique curry where mutton is cooked with fermented or fresh bamboo shoots.

Ingredients

  • Mutton: 500g
  • Bamboo Shoots: 1/2 cup, sliced (fresh or fermented)
  • Onion: 1, chopped
  • Ginger-Garlic Paste: 1 tbsp
  • Green Chilies: 3-4
  • Turmeric Powder: 1/2 tsp
  • Oil: 2 tbsp
  • Salt: to taste

Instructions

    If using fermented bamboo shoots, wash them thoroughly.

    Cook mutton with onion, ginger-garlic paste, and spices until half done.

    Add the bamboo shoots and green chilies.

    Add a little water, cover and cook until the mutton is tender and has absorbed the unique flavor of the bamboo.
