Chicken cooked slowly in an earthen pot, similar to the Bihari style.

Ingredients

  • Chicken: 1 kg
  • Onions: 4, sliced
  • Ginger-Garlic Paste: 2 tbsp
  • Whole Spices: a mix
  • Spice Powders: a mix
  • Mustard Oil: 1/2 cup
  • Salt: to taste

Instructions

    Mix chicken with all the ingredients in an earthen pot (handi).

    Seal the lid with dough.

    Cook on very low heat for 1-1.5 hours, shaking the pot periodically.

    The chicken cooks in its own juices, resulting in a very flavorful dish.
