Chicken Shami Kebab

Melt-in-the-mouth chicken kebabs made with lentils and spices.

Ingredients

  • Minced Chicken: 500g
  • Chana Dal (Bengal Gram): 1/2 cup, soaked
  • Ginger-Garlic Paste: 1 tbsp
  • Whole Spices: Cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, red chilies
  • Onion: 1, chopped, for filling
  • Green Chilies: 2, chopped, for filling
  • Oil: for shallow frying
  • Salt: to taste

Instructions

    Pressure cook minced chicken, chana dal, whole spices, ginger-garlic paste, and salt with a little water until soft.

    Grind the mixture to a smooth paste without adding water.

    Make patties from the mixture, stuffing each with a little chopped onion and green chili.

    Shallow fry the kebabs on a tawa until golden brown on both sides.
