A subtle and fragrant biryani, where meat and rice are cooked separately and then layered.
Ingredients
- Chicken: 750g
- Basmati Rice: 500g
- Yogurt: 1 cup
- Ginger-Garlic Paste: 2 tbsp
- Fried Onions: 1/2 cup
- Mint & Coriander Leaves: 1/2 cup
- Saffron Milk: 1/4 cup
- Kewra Water: 1 tsp
- Ghee: 4 tbsp
- Salt: to taste
Instructions

Cook chicken in a yogurt-based gravy (yakhni) until tender.

Boil rice in salted water until 80% cooked. Drain.

In a heavy-bottomed pot, layer the cooked chicken and rice.

Top with fried onions, mint, coriander, saffron milk, and kewra water.
