Safed Murgh (White Chicken Curry)

A mild and creamy white chicken curry made with yogurt and nuts.

Ingredients

  • Chicken: 500g
  • Yogurt: 1 cup
  • Cashew and Almond Paste: 1/2 cup
  • Onion Paste: 1/2 cup
  • Ginger-Garlic Paste: 1 tbsp
  • White Pepper Powder: 1 tsp
  • Garam Masala: 1/2 tsp
  • Fresh Cream: 1/4 cup
  • Oil/Ghee: 3 tbsp
  • Salt: to taste

Instructions

    Marinate chicken with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, and salt for 1 hour.

    Heat oil/ghee, sauté onion paste until light brown.

    Add marinated chicken and cook for 10 minutes.

    Add the cashew-almond paste and white pepper powder.

    Add water, cover, and simmer until chicken is cooked.

    Finish with fresh cream and garam masala.
