A traditional Andhra style chicken curry with a rich gravy.
Ingredients
- Chicken: 500g
- Onions: 2 large, sliced
- Ginger-Garlic Paste: 1.5 tbsp
- Poppy Seed & Cashew Paste: 3 tbsp
- Yogurt: 1/4 cup
- Red Chili Powder: 1.5 tsp
- Turmeric Powder: 1/2 tsp
- Coriander Powder: 1 tbsp
- Oil: 3 tbsp
- Salt: to taste

Heat oil, sauté onions until golden.

Add ginger-garlic paste and fry for a minute.

Add chicken, salt, and turmeric. Sauté until chicken changes color.

Whisk yogurt with spice powders and add it to the pan. Cook until oil separates.

Add the poppy seed and cashew paste. Fry for 5 minutes.

Add 1.5 cups of water, cover, and cook until chicken is tender.
