Ingredients
- Chicken: 1 kg, curry cut
- Onions: 3, finely chopped
- Tomatoes: 2, puréed
- Green Chilies: 4-5, slit
- Ginger-Garlic Paste: 2 tbsp
- Coconut Paste: 1/4 cup
- Red Chili Powder (Guntur): 2-3 tsp
- Turmeric Powder: 1/2 tsp
- Coriander Powder: 2 tbsp
- Garam Masala: 1.5 tsp
- Oil: 4 tbsp
- Salt: to taste
Instructions

Heat oil in a pan. Add onions and fry until deep golden brown.

Add ginger-garlic paste and green chilies. Sauté for two minutes.

Add the spice powders (chili, turmeric, coriander) and cook for a minute.

Add the chicken pieces and sauté on high heat for 5-7 minutes.

Add the tomato purée and salt. Cook until the oil begins to separate.

Add the coconut paste and mix well. Sauté for another 5 minutes.

Add 2 cups of hot water, bring to a boil. Cover and simmer until the chicken is tender (about 20-25 minutes).

Sprinkle garam masala, stir, and cook for 5 more minutes.
