Crispy and spicy fried fish with local Telangana spices.

Ingredients

  • Fish: 500g, steaks or fillets
  • Ginger-Garlic Paste: 1 tbsp
  • Red Chili Powder: 1.5 tsp
  • Coriander Powder: 1 tsp
  • Garam Masala: 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder: 1/2 tsp
  • Rice Flour: 2 tbsp
  • Lemon Juice: 1 tbsp
  • Oil: for shallow frying
  • Salt: to taste

Instructions

    Make a thick paste with all the ingredients except oil and fish.

    Clean and pat dry the fish pieces. Apply the masala paste evenly on all sides.

    Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

    Heat oil in a tawa or flat pan.

    Place the marinated fish pieces and shallow fry on medium heat.

    Fry for 5-7 minutes on each side, until the fish is cooked, crisp, and golden brown.

    Serve hot with onion rings and lemon wedges.
