Ingredients
- Fish: 500g, steaks
- Tamarind: large lime-sized ball
- Onions: 1 large, chopped
- Tomatoes: 1, chopped
- Green Chilies: 4, slit
- Ginger-Garlic Paste: 1 tbsp
- Red Chili Powder: 2 tsp
- Turmeric Powder: 1/2 tsp
- Fenugreek Seeds: 1/4 tsp
- Oil: 3 tbsp
- Salt: to taste

Soak tamarind in hot water and extract a thick pulp.

Heat oil in a clay pot or wide pan. Add fenugreek seeds.

Add tomatoes and cook until soft.

Gently slide the fish pieces into the boiling gravy.
