Chicken Kadhi

A unique dish where chicken pieces are cooked in a yogurt and gram flour-based kadhi.

Ingredients

  • Chicken: 500g, boneless, cooked
  • Yogurt: 2 cups, sour
  • Gram Flour (Besan): 1/2 cup
  • Turmeric: 1/2 tsp
  • Red Chili Powder: 1 tsp
  • Tempering:: Ghee, cumin seeds, asafoetida, dry red chilies
  • Salt: to taste

Instructions

    Whisk yogurt and gram flour together, ensuring no lumps. Add water to make a thin batter.

    In a pot, bring the batter to a boil, stirring continuously. Add turmeric and salt.

    Simmer the kadhi for 20-25 minutes.

    Add the cooked chicken pieces.

    Prepare tempering in ghee and pour it over the kadhi.

    Simmer for another 5 minutes.
